Miss Krista

Meet Miss Krista, a FNQ local with a passion for teaching swimming, which she has been doing for 16 years. Since joining C-Me Swim in 2019, we've been incredibly fortunate to have her on our team. Beyond the pool, Krista finds joy in the great outdoors, whether she's swimming, hiking, or staying fit with her own Personal Training business. With her wealth of experience and love for aquatic activities, Krista brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson, inspiring swimmers of all ages to experience into their aquatic journey with confidence and joy.

Mr Sam

Learn to Swim | AutismSwim Coordinator and Gold Member | Adults | Reception

Meet Mr. Sam, a seasoned educator with 15 years of teaching experience. Originally from South Australia, Sam made the move to Cairns and C-Me Swim School in July 2023, infusing our teaching team with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. His passion for teaching shines brightest when working with adults and neurodiverse swimmers, where he finds fulfillment in guiding them toward swimming success.

Beyond the pool, you'll find him exploring the great outdoors, hiking with friends, and indulging in his love for Ultimate Frisbee.

Miss Emily brings a delightful balance of warmth and expertise to her role as a swimming instructor. As a devoted mother to her toddler son, Emily cherishes the opportunity to blend her passion for swimming teaching with the joys of motherhood, finding it to be the perfect work-life balance. With a career spanning back to 2016, she joined C-Me Swim in January 2024, she has seamlessly integrated her wealth of experience and love for the water into our team.

Emily embodies the essence of what it means to inspire and empower swimmers of all ages.


Miss Lei

AutismSwim | Learners with Disabilities | Cultural Awareness in Aquatics

Meet Lei, a dedicated swimming instructor and coach with 12 years of teaching & coaching experience. Originally from New Zealand, Lei has made Australia her home for 17 years, drawn to the climate and her love for the water. With a passion for teaching swimmers of all ages, Lei finds joy in witnessing her students' progress, especially when they conquer challenges they've been working on for ages. In her spare time, Lei enjoys spending time with her large family, including her 1 daughter, 5 sons, and 3 granddaughters, who share her love for swimming.

Miss Tanja

Meet Miss Tanja, a seasoned educator with 15 years of teaching experience. For her, teaching is not just a job; it's an incredibly rewarding and fun experience. She delights in being part of children's journeys as they learn essential life skills and fosters a safe and enjoyable environment around water. Specialising in teaching adults, Tanja's multilingual abilities in Russian and German enhance her teaching approach. Beyond the pool, she's a diving instructor, disability support worker, and Eurovision Song Contest enthusiast!

Meet Lilly, a vibrant addition to our team, whose love for swimming blossomed in Surf Lifesaving. Alongside her passion for the water, Lilly enjoys playing AFL, showcasing her active lifestyle. Joining us in late 2023, Lilly's youthful energy infuses every lesson, captivating children with her engaging demeanor. Eager to learn and grow, she's currently pursuing nursing studies, demonstrating her commitment to personal and professional development. Lilly's enthusiasm for swimming and genuine connection with children make her an invaluable member of our team!

Miss Kealey

Miss Kealey has been teaching for almost 5 years, blending her love for swimming with her passion for teaching. Witnessing students overcome fear and gain confidence in the water brings her immense joy. Outside the pool, she enjoys sightseeing, exploring markets, and hiking with her dog, Nellie. Currently studying for a Bachelor of Nursing, Miss Kealey aspires to become an aeromedical nurse with The Royal Flying Doctors, drawn to the vast landscapes of Australia from her upbringing in the remote Northern Territory.

Meet Briony, affectionately known as Bri, a dynamic educator hailing all the way from Scotland. As an outstanding Primary School teacher during the week, she sought to immerse herself in something quintessentially Australian and eagerly embraced the opportunity to learn swimming instruction. Bri's passion for working with children shines through in her patient and engaging teaching style. With her background in education, she intuitively knows how to create a comfortable and supportive environment where children can thrive and learn. Bri enriches every swimmer's experience with her warmth and expertise.

Miss Phoebe

Meet Phoebe, our dedicated fill-in swimming teacher, balancing her full-time role as a youth support worker with her passion for teaching. While we'd love to have her with us permanently, Phoebe lends her expertise whenever her schedule allows. With a warm smile and endless patience, Phoebe creates a welcoming atmosphere for children in the pool, making them feel comfortable and confident. Outside of teaching, she indulges her love for open water swimming and water polo, showcasing her deep connection to aquatic sports.
